Do you use this?

Here we have: http://offtopix.com/search.php?do=getnew and http://offtopix.com/vaispy.php

I usually never use these links and just browse through the forums individually or just click topics from the index page.

However Ive recently been on a couple forums where the index page goes on FOREVER. Some forums have literally 200 different forums to post in. Trying to navigate that in a manner I described above is overwhelming. The only way I can keep my sanity is to browse through the New Posts page and reply to topics listed on there.

Pretty all I do is use the new posts link. On the odd occasion I will search through individual sections for interesting threads.

First I search new posts. When I'm bored I go through different sections.

I use the iSpy feature a fair bit. It's nice not having to refresh the page. But, of course, I still browse each individual forum.

I occasionally use it but generally I'll just look through individual forums that interest me.

Same as most of the others, I go to new posts and then individual sections if I'm bored

I hate that one thing that some Vbulletin boards have when you log in and it says something like there are this many messages that have been posted since you last logged in on such and such date. I hate that because on some forums I only have certain sections that I visit frequently, while others I avoid all together. I never use that feature unless it's a topic I'm really watching carefully for replies (such as a post exchange or something).

On one forum I almost completely use the new posts feature, on the forum I run I use the front page of the forum almost completely, and on the rest I go through the new posts first and then dig around the forum for anything I've missed.
