New Year's Eve

How come you had to wait for the clearance to go back anyways? Were you ill or what happened?

I was out of work due to a throat infection.

I was going to hang out with friends, but I might just stay home.

Small dinner party with two other couples and then we'll take it from there. Might go to a club afterwards, that's up in the air. I love new year's eve, it's a chance to wear sparkly clothing!

Distant family isn't coming down this year.

Cousins have sporting events so if they came down they would only be able to stay for a day, so they've decided not to come this year. It's sad, because I looked forward to seeing them before the end of the year, because that's when we have a major family get together, but o'well. It is what it is. I'll be spending New Year's Eve at my grandparents house. We're going to try to go fishing, but it's suppose to rain.

Fishing can actually be a more fruitful event when it is raining, depending on how hard. If it is a light sprinkle, it might be worth casting out and seeing what you get, even if only for a short while. It's all about the right lures, too.
