some people believe that if bush never went into iraq, isis wouldn't be what it is today...

others say that before the iraq war that bush jr. started, there weren't any al-qeada in the country...

do you think bush is/was a clown?

your thoughts?

I think that you have the wrong Bush up there, we have all been played since Desert Storm.

It is Ironic that Kuwait, the country which Iraq invaded and the world 'came to their rescue' to battle Iraq and 'free them', is one of the two countries who have been found to be buying the oil from ISIS on the black market at discounted prices, thus providing significant funding for ISIS.

There is no single blame to be placed on this mess, it goes all the way back to post WW1 when the Ottoman Empire was carved up by the new superpowers for oil.

This is years of history coming back to bite us all in the ass.

however, having said that... it is said that the basis of ISIS comes from Saddam's Red Guard who scattered after/during the Iraq war and were all well trained military soldiers.

Well said, Mike...well said. :)

Yes, indeed.

But even the old Ottoman Turks had their hands full trying to keep the lid on all the various factions and tribes in the area and, if you will, 'keep the peace'.

It would seem that everybody this side of Nebuchadnezzar has had problems trying to run the place.

And, historically, if the locals aren't fighting somebody outside, they're fighting with each other.
