Normal when you were a child

What was normal when you were a child that is absolutely not okay now?

During my childhood years, it is normal for parents to use love stick to discipline their kiddies. Now, it is not allowed.

Before now only kids that were about 8 yeard were allowed to enroll in a school but now months old babies are enrolled in the creche

When I was a child studying in primary school, teachers could use a stick to hit the student's head or hand. Teachers nowadays cannot do that.
