Going to church. Some towns (even here in California) there is a church literally on every corner of every street. I don't know how the all stay afloat, I guess there is more church go-ers than you'd think there are.

It is the same thing in this town and I have shown my indifference towards them. I can't even understand the reason a lot of people go to church and yet, I have a better attitude that majority of them.

I go to mine occasionally for the community. I don't care too much about the bible or whatever as I can't be bothered reading it but I do believe in higher things even though I'm gay. I used to think gays got booted from churches and frowned upon but never really had any issues except for one church that tried to organize conversion therapy...
Come to Appalachia; you'll see one on every hilltop and in every holler around.
Baptist here, Methodist there, Adventists on that hilltop, Lutherans in the holler, etc., etc., etc.
