Opinion of Obama

Majorly inflated.. They employ hundreds of thousands of census workers.. Its only a temporary job, but I suppose they money they do earn in that short time could help stimulate the economy a bit.

I looked into it, they pay like $25 an hour in my local area.. But I dont need a temp job right now..

As for Obama, it seems like people are more optimistic for the future rather than when Bush was in charge... Everyone was afraid of everything crumbling all around them.

400,000 jobs over two months.

Its like that during every census.. Whoever's president during that time gets to brag about the increase in stats.

I'm more interested in North Korea's provocations against the South, Iran's nuclear ambitions, the general anti-Israel attitude (you've got to love Helen Thomas's latest comment while at the White House), the administration's attempts to buy off challengers to established politicians, and the entire EU flushing itself down the hopper.

Has Mr. Obama addressed any of it?

Im from England and I do not know much about American politics but from what I have watched on the news of him he seems like a decent character with some good views and aims for the American nation. But that just might be how the Media wants us to perceive him. I hope he does not mess up as he is already part of a great piece of American history.

Mister McCartney won't be getting any more of my money anytime soon.

Thank you for the music, now take your opinion and go the hell home and stay there!

I do not understand, what does that have to do with Obama?

Watch the news.

Paul McCartney was at the White House the other night to

accept a Library of Congress award when he said the following....

(after he serenaded Michele Obama)

“after the last eight years, it’s great to have a president who knows what a library is.

What does a dig at Bush 43 have to do with him getting the Gershwin Prize for song-writing?

PS: Laura Bush was a Librarian before they got heavily into politics, so Sir Paul's comment comes off as all the more asinine as he didn't know what he was talking about.

Do not think that was on in England. There has recently been a Mass Murder.

I was just identifying exactly how many jobs you should detract from may on the chart

Gotta run but I'll edit this post later.

I quite honestly prefer Barrack Obama to George Bush greatly, sure we aren't getting the changes that we were promised but it does feel like he actually cares about what happens unlike Bush.

Oh, yes, Mister Obama cares...

Excuse me, Nick, my very good friend, in all seriousness, and all the sincerity I can muster at the moment:

What, and / or, Who... does Mister Obama care about, as displayed by his Actions, not his words?

Extending healthcare coverage to all citizens and making it affordable.

Being bipartisan and doing every single thing he could do to get a Republican to vote for the HR bill and still have it accomplish something and have it pass.

Nuclear non-proliferation and arms reductions. We all know that using nukes is a logical fallacy. With nuclear fallout and radioactive material lasting centuries, we don't want a nuclear war.Our world would be much better without nukes. But it is especially important that we keep North Korea nuke-free and that we Disarm Iran. Because a raving dictator may not have the sense to abstain from hitting the trigger.

Resetting the economy that Reagan, the republican congress under Clinton and Bush destroyed. Once he gets unemployment 8%, then he will move on the Budget.

Based on what he has done, I really think he believes that he can get the budget balanced and that is something he wants to do.

He values R&D which is very important, he assigned significant funds for R&D.

He is interested in holding the shitheads in the banks accountable and hopefully he will get legislation through that forces them to act only as banks, and not as hedgefunds and financial betters.

Really, the guy has been in office only year. The guy was handed the worst economic outlook since FDR was handed the Great Depression. Once he gets the economy moving then I really think you will see him focus on the budget.

but it does feel like he actually cares about what happens unlike Bush.

And Nick is exactly right. Unlike the Bush administration with Cheney saying Deficits don't matter Obama actually cares about the budget and will attempt to right it regardless of the economy he was handed and despite the numerous spendy programs implemented by Bush for no good reason and despite Republicans taking so much money out of Social Security and Medicare.

With North Korea what exactly do you want him to do as of now? North Korea doesn't exactly respond to any diplomatic notions, and they really can't because they've convinced their people that the United States has tried to invade their country many times. But we have had soldiers on the Korean border since 1950..

You've got to love Helen Thomas's latest comment while at the White House

You seem to care about cosmetic issues more than anything.

Yeah she's a fuckin retard but I think Obama has bigger problems on his hands. Religion is the problem here.

the administration's attempts to buy off challengers to established politicians

Source please. (And no, the GOP saying so doesn't count.)

and the entire EU flushing itself down the hopper

So you are saying you would rather have Obama address the European economy and focus on that rather than letting them solve their own problems? That doesn't sound like you man.

Thank you.

But you seem to have confused me with a Republican, I label myself as an Independent Conservative Libertarian (that way I piss off everybody!). Sorry to disappoint you, but I bash all politicians equally. Something you will learn as we go forward. I also try to avoid name calling, using profanity, and finger pointing.

Obama's healthcare doesn't cover anybody for five years, will cost more, and already has insurance companies jacking rates on policy renewal. Plus, if it is so great, why is Congress and other Federal employees exempt. Also, if it is so comprehensive, where is the dental and optical coverage? Your eyes and teeth aren't important?

Nuclear non-proliferation evidently doesn't include North Korea, Iran, or now, Syria.

The President cannot balance the budget, the checkbook is in the Congress. And the way they're spending money, it will never be balanced.

If you go back and look at where the roots of the housing problem started it was under Clinton, as well as Bush 43, who mandated that banks make the subprime loans that eventually blew up in their faces.

I do believe Mr. Obama had good ideas about the social issue obligations of the Presidency, however, this country is a lot more complicated than a set of campaign slogans. Something he has found out in the year and a half he has been in office.

I don't like the power grab by all three branches of government that began after the September 2001 attacks and continues today.

Also, the admins buying off of candidates came from the Democratic candidates themselves. Not the GOP or Rush Limbaugh (whom I personally cannot stand)

One other thing.... What happened to the Openness that was promised? How long between unscripted press conferences where he takes questions? The posting of bills for public comment before he signs them? Things like that.

And this is in the New York Times... not Fox.

I would say that barrackobama.com probably isn't the most impartial source of information. In my personal opinion Barrack Obama & his staff have no understanding of economics & the Constitution.

Lol. How can the president be a terrorist. He is the one sending people over to kill the terrorists.

The birth certificate thing is over.

The Man is president, there will not be a recall election or impeachment and removal from office.

He is doing to the country exactly what he promised and no mistake.

Now we have to work to undo some of the socialist agenda that has been implemented.

And while he is out blasting BP...
