I know I've heard quite a few lately in the last 8 or so years with the advent of internet phenomenon's like Facebook, Twitter, and reaching out to the younger generations. What are some overused expressions you'd love to just get rid of?

:yeahthat:

Boots on the ground is one phrase that I think's been way overused the past few decades; everytime something happens in a distant part of the world, you almost always hear that phrase. What gets me is the disconnect people have when they talk about sending advisors somewhere and then they say, 'oh, but no boots on the ground...'

Newsflash...those advisors, they're boots on the ground. It almost makes me want to quote Bill Engvall's Here's Your Sign comedy routine whenever I hear that phrase being used...
