Who Started The Six Day War?
Who initiated hostilities in the Six Day War?
One of the frequently heard claims against Israel is that she started the Six Day War in1967, that Israel attacked peaceful Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq on June 5, 1967 and seized the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the “West Bank” from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria in an act of aggression.
The background to the Six Day War is quite different from the propagandistic claims of pro-Arab sources. Egypt and Israel’s other neighboring countries — all Arabs — took actions in a series of increasingly provocativeand threatening steps during May and early June of 1967, accompanied with rhetoric stating very clearly the intent to attack and destroy Israel. Attempts by Israel to negotiate, find United Nations support, or other international diplomatic resolution failed. The United Nations Emergency Forces (UNEF) stationed on the Egyptian-Israeli border were withdrawn without any discussion. A US plan to lift the blockcade of Israeli shipping found little support internationally.
Arab mobilization compelled Israel to mobilize its forces, 80 percent of which were reserve civilians. Israel feared slow economic strangulation because of the costs of long-term mobilization and the damage of the shipping blockcade. Israeli leaders feared the consequences of absorbing an Arab first strike against its civilian population, many of whom lived only miles from Arab-controlled territory. Incendiary Arab rhetoric threatening Israel’s annihilation terrified Israeli society and contributed to the pressures to go to war.
Faced with few choices, on June 4, 1967 the Cabinet authorized the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence to decide on appropriate steps to defend the State of Israel. On June 5, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike against Egypt and captured the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip. Despite an Israeli appeal to Jordan to stay out of the conflict, Jordan attacked Israel and thereby lost control of the West Bank and the eastern sector of Jerusalem. Israel went on to capture the Golan Heights from Syria by the time the war ended on June 10. Click here fora more complete article on the Course of the 1967 War.

BBC documentary about how Israelis invaded Palestine, Egypt, Syria and attacked Lebanon. Israel started the 6 day war and therefore caused the 78' war. Egypt at least got back their lost territory and Syria got back only 1/3 of their own. Israel is not the country you think it is, they are thiefs, and murderers.
"Israel", according to scripture, was never a landmass. Israel was allegedly a man. He had 12 sons who founded the 12 tribes of Israel. None of these sons was called, "Ashkenazi" or "Khazar". Ashkenazim are eastern European 'conversos' who have no historical right to any middle-eastern lands...celestial real-estate broker notwithstanding. "Israel" is a rogue 'state', populated by imposters. The toothpaste, as it were, is out of the tube.

Talk about a rewriting of history. This book "Six Days of War: June 1967 and the Making of the Modern Middle East." I got as cds from the library several years ago show the truth.
TRUE LIBERTY said:When troops are massed around you and leaders of these countries tell you we are going to kill all of you it is those countries that clearly started a war. It is like if someone points a gun to my head with the hammer pulled back and says I am going to kill you. Sane people believe that and take action before he releases that hammer. The arab countries thought it was going to be a walk in the park to wipe out Israel and they found out otherwise.

@Justice: You know what the Six-Day War was? Israel found out its' neighbors were going to attack and they struck first; preemptive war if there ever was one...and given the history of the region, well-justified.
@Liberty: I couldn't have said it better myself.
+freezy said:TRUE LIBERTY said:Webster said:+freezy said:see, people still have this myth that people weren't in palestine before, during and after the jews came into the world recognized country of palestine and stole their land like the americans did to the natives...
but people don't like or understand facts, truth and true history when it conflicts with their personal beliefs and views...
No one's saying there weren't people there in the past; all we're saying is that, historically speaking, the jews have a far stronger claim to the region than do the palestinians. Besides, possession is, to borrow the saying, "9/10ths of the law" and Israel currently possess the land, so good luck gettin' rid of them!
I am saying it. A lot of that area and I am not talking about the holy areas the Jews began settling in before it became a country was harsh empty land they made something out of no matter who will try to tell you opposite. Now the Holy areas they kicked ass in the war they did not start and won them and no way in hell should they give it back. Specially since some of these areas are high elevations that leave Israel vulnerable to further attack.
There is so many thousands of years of back and forth on who had what and when during this and that war that both can lay claim in some point in history. All that matters is Israel is the baddest mothers on the block at this time and I am for one very happy that the only democracy in that area is there and in control.
israel did not get attacked by egypt, syria and america, it was the total opposite!
israel first attacked egypt FIRST and TOOK a lot of egypt's land by FORCE on the south border... while ATTACKING an american spy warship in the gulf when it was clearly marked USA... then israel proceeded to attack syria from the north east and TOOK some of their land...
egypt struggled but went to war with israel and destroyed the israeli air force and tank brigade and took control of their land... while in the northeast, syria fought back and also took back their land from the attacking israel... israel was so crushed that they desperately needed the united state's help, so they got it... if it weren't for israel attacking three countries in the same day and creating/starting two wars with two countries, none of that would have happened... if it weren't for the united states of america, israel would have been destroyed in the wars that they created... if it wasn't for the u.n. and others illegally taking people's land and creating a whole new country with out the consent of the country and the people that were there already then that area would be more peaceful... if it wasn't for israel and america to call upon when they need help and to clean up their messes, the middle east wouldn't be as bad as it is now...
the fallacy story you talk of are simply a lie and fairy-tale...
people like to forget that palestine was a country...
As I said good job with the revisionist history.+freezy said:they were arming their borders because israel were slaughtering the palestinians...
securing their borders is not justifications of striking them and taking their land...
are you mad? jesus christ, how brainwashed are you people, really?
the hypocrisy and story changing is exhausting and ridiculous...
oh, and i bet the united states were going to attack israel too, eh? is that why israel attacked uss liberty, liberty? or are you just going to make a stupid excuse to make israel the victims of that too?

TRUE LIBERTY said:So we agree then Israel did not start the war. Great! We are done here!
+freezy said:TRUE LIBERTY said:So we agree then Israel did not start the war. Great! We are done here!
you even admitted that israel did a preempted attack against those countries...
you can even keep track of your fallacy fairy-tale world you live in...
TRUE LIBERTY said:No, not all.
TRUE LIBERTY said:No, just the actual facts of who the aggressors have been from day one.
