Do you visit pawn shops often? Do you go to sell things to get extra cash when you're low on money?

I used to go there to find deals, but not these days, too broke.

Are those still a thing? There used to be a couple in my city but they aren't there anymore.

Does seem like they used to be "all over the place", not so much any more. Wasn't paying much attention, but think I did notice one locally recently. I've never pawned anything, but used to look around in some, they had such an assortment of interesting stuff...lots of rings & watches & jewelry. I wonder if some of the newer gun laws discouraged a lot of that business.

I think eBay put must of them out of business. :|

There's a few shops in town where I live. They mostly take guns and jewelry. I don't try to sell them anything because they give very little.

Bought a 45" flatscreen television from one pawn store for $100 a few years ago; still works like a charm.

They give little because they don't make much off them themselves.

You know you're an old school kind of guy (tech wise) when you describe TV's as "flat screen" :P
