Today I decided to get my permit. I woke up, had breakfast, then was like, hey, I'm going to get my permit today. So, what did I do? I went and got my permit!
Actually... It wasn't that easy. To start off, when we got there, we had to wait a while, but that's not the bad part, some people stunk sooo bad. They seriously needed a bath. So eventually I was called back and I had to wait in another line, but it wasn't too bad. Get my paper work filled out, and what am I missing? My high school enrollment form. Had my birth certificate and social security card, but just lacked that enrollment sheet. However, they let me take the test anyways. Took the test and failed the first time. First one was all about irrelevant stuff. So I already knew I didn't pass it because the questions had nothing to do with driving. It was mainly about statistics and motorcycles.
Second time I took it, I passed. I don't know, first test was not even on subject, but the second test was easy and I knew I passed it, and indeed I did. Only costs $5 per test, so $10, but I wasn't going to leave until I got my permit, because we had to wait two hours.
Overall, today was good! Sure, I had to wait in a room with stinky people, but at least I was able to pass the test. I still don't have my permit though, because I can't get it until I show them my high school enrollment form. All I have to do is just get it from my school and go back up there and show them the form and they'll print off my paper copy and send me the real thing in the mail. Really excited, but sort of disappointed, because I can't drive until at least Monday, because our school system is out on spring break this week so the office is closed.
Best part of it all was that I didn't even read the book and was able to pass on the second test. This one girl who was sitting beside me took the test and she failed it, and she said she read the book and studied for it. I tried not to laugh, because I didn't read the book and I really didn't study at all. Listened to a few pointers from my siblings, but it wasn't too helpful on the test.
