Here's my desktop of the new laptop. I like the background it came with and as you can see, I turned off the transparency of the taskbar.

You can do that?

Yes you can. Forgot how I did it though... besides, the transparency on the taskbar and windows eat up more memory anyway even when this laptop has 4GB of it.

It's under Window Colour in the same menu that allows you to change your wallpaper.

Maybe, but I was just told that it uses up more memory, when I was told about Windows 7 the first time I went to PC World for a laptop.

I don't know how to take a screen shot of my desktop with all the icons on it, but this is the picture I currently have for the background.

I use this: http://screensnapr.com/ it's an easy to download program and doesn't take up much space at all.
