If you go somewhere such as college, university or just like to travel, what's your preferred mode of transportation?

For me, I prefer to use the train. It's a lot faster to get from A to B, even though the nearest station is a 10 minute walk from me which is fine.

Well.....

The key word in that question being "Preferred".

Or if the above vehicle isn't available, perhaps:

As to what I can afford....

Since I live in a very rural area, I drive or in Summer I ride my motorcycle.

driving.

The bus system in my town is horrible. It only runs from like 7am - 7pm and it seems to take forever to get anywhere.

I prefer to walk. If the distance is short enough, of course.
Somewhat longer distances I'd cycle. Beyond those I prefer trains.
The order is basically: feet > bike > train > plane.

Mine's is pretty bad too... with a bus service that only runs from 6am to the evening, comes every 30 minutes and only goes a short route (from Clydebank to Gartnavel Hospital). It wasn't always like that... it was a more reliable service years ago until I started to deteriorate over the years.

Train! Love me some trains. Especially when they go like this

That's fast enough to give me motion sickness  Have you been on one of these trains?

Yeaah. Go to London on them a few times a year plus Birmingham every now and then although not as quick in that direction, the route is rather built up.

Driving. Trains are expensive but I will get the train to and from London. I like to ride my bike but only around where I live, I don't use it for main transport.

I mostly use the bus as it's cheaper than driving/parking in the city. Not my preferred mode though.
