Do you think private businesses whose owners object to birth control on religious grounds should be required to provide health care plans that cover the cost of contraceptives for their employees? (Please explain your choice of yes or no).

no business can dictate to their staff what they can are cannot do when it comes to those kind of things.
They have no business in the private lives of their staff

here in america, that's not entirely the truth as business owners can dictate if their employees cannot be a smoker, etc...

I agree. They are your employer, not your supreme overlord.

maybe not to that extreme but businesses and employers do dictate what their employees can and cannot do with their personal life such as being a smoker... such companies actually tests their employees with a mouth swab to test if they smoke...

Who does that?

companies that prohibit their employees to be smokers... which surprisingly is legal...

They would not be doing any such thing. The business is deciding it does not want to pay for those products for whatever reason. They are not saying you or anyone else working for the company cannot go and get all the birth control they want.

A business should have the right to provide whatever it sees fit in insurance to paying a nickel a hour for labor if they think they can get someone to work for them at that price. People have free will to decide if that is what they want to work for. This over control from the federal government is what is stifling a real surge in employment across the globe. So the governments would rather have hundreds of millions of people not working across the globe then working because these governments have picked a arbitrary amount to be payed under force of a governments gun. I think millions would rather be making something then nothing.

I do not like this but when our federal government destroys our health system and makes anything that provides health care the number one expense for a business this is what you get. The more federal government tightens it noose around businesses the more the employee is going to suffer because a business is struggling to stay afloat. Our federal government and its insistence to destroy capitalism has created this mess. So things like this and making us a part time country to work in will only keep increasing until cut the legs off of the federal government.

The current situation of companies doing the above most certainly is because of obama care. As for shutting down anything about this. LOL!

But even if small and large businesses were not being squeezed heavy from obama care and regulations as far as the eye can see it is there business and if you do not like the rules they set do not work for them and go self employed like me or go for someone else.

i never said i was against businesses only hiring non-smokers as the owner(s) of said business should have the right to hire whoever they want...

Companies doing this before Obama care were rare. Companies doing it now in high numbers not so much. But since we have had our federal government begin getting into the private market of health care since the 1960s it has been a steady increase of high prices ever since.

But even if small and large businesses were not being squeezed heavy from obama care and regulations as far as the eye can see it is there business and if you do not like the rules they set do not work for them and go self employed like me or go for someone else.

liberty, who's talking about obamacare?

i simply said that businesses had a no smoker's policy and that it was legal for them to do so...

and it's not as rare as you might think...

a lot of small companies has smoking and other similar policies and it had nothing to do with healthcare...

then you tried to take it and merge it with obamacare...

seems like you always blame or try to link everything to either liberals and/or obama...
