Pro-life or Pro-choice?

Ha! Good luck with that. I've been preaching the very same philosophy for years now, and all I got in return were stinkeyes. Of course, those same stinkeye givers are now freaking out over how are they going to make it through the winter with everything becoming more and more expensive and their children's ever growing needs.

That's not what I meant, though. Given free hands, how would you deal with an out of control children you mentioned?

I would beat them with a stick.

That's actually exactly what school teachers used to be allowed to do, back at the time our parents and grandparents attended schools. They hit misbehaving children with sticks and / or other solid objects. Coming home and complaining about it to their parents only resulted in getting beaten up again, this time by their own parents for misbehaving in class.

While it did seem to work, the problem I have with this kind of discipline system is that parents often used it as a mean to get their way, to quickly force their otherwise well behaving children to do what they wanted them to do at the very moment, in case children didn't want to do it. Blatant abuse of power.

I don't think I would have ever turned out like the real monsters you guys are talking about; but I absolutely believe that the vice principal's big board with the holes in it for a swifter descent sure calmed me down & left a lasting mental impression even tho' the physical pain was over with in a matter of seconds. :D

I am so encouraged when I do happen across an occasional totally beautiful, polite, friendly, helpful late teen - early twenty-ish person; however we certainly do have a big problem with that age youngsters.
I do hope you guys can land on the correct answer to the problem. (y) ......well, aside from depopulating the planet!

Kill the wicked, spare the good, let them continue the species and see how it pans out?

I am pro-choice as well. I think we have a couple people who are against abortion on here.

I'm pro- choice as well. I dont believe the unborn & the dead should have rights over the living. 😁

Embryos are unborn but they aren't dead. :p
They need a living host as their life support. If I was dying from kidney failure I would need consent from a donor for their kidney. If I dont consent on my driver's License, they can't legally harvest my organs. Same principle should apply.

I am pro-life in most cases, and reason being their are familys that are trying to have kids and unable to, and i feel adopting would be better than foster care in most cases.

Now with that I can see some cases where abortion would be useful. If it was going to cause harm to the mother or other complications to have the need to do such thing on a medical stand point yes.

Now, also say teenagers (13-17) had sex and mother ended up pregnant from being irresponsible. Would abortion be appropriate? I wouldn't think so only because the teenagers either were not educated, didn't listen to the information, and made a poor choice. Now if they took on the responsibility and took care of the child together great. I believe in having a choice with ones body etc, but is an abortion the answer for a irresponsible choice as a "get out of jail free" card.. lol Bad pun.

For every action theirs a reaction. I've known plenty of people that had kids in their teens and took care of them and what not. But in the same sense why would you even put yourself in that situation if your are not financially, physically mature to handle the responsibility of raising another human being.

I had my daughter when I was almost 24 (she's 12). I had my son when I was 26 (he's 10)
Ok, But despite your age, you took care of it and did what was needed.
I'm talking about the ones that let their parents take care of that child. Help is one thing,
I have a cousin that had my cousins (3) children, and took care of them the best she could.
Getting help from your parents isnt a bad thing but when you always pass your kid on to your parents to take care of because you wanna go out and have fun all the time.

On the flip side of that though, A lot of people say you lose your childhood in most cases, but then again when your in your 40 the kid will be in their late teens early 20s and can spend time with them instead of your being 60-80 lol

Children are an unnecessary expense.

I'm very big on my role as a father. It's my moral obligation. 🙂
