Pro-life or Pro-choice?

Lmao I wanted to post that link in the Queen Elizabeth thread, but thought it'd be too far.
Aww, look at you... caring about what people might think and whatnot. :grouphug:

As a teacher, my opinion is the fewer babies are born, the better the world will be.
This is 100% truth, although I'm an advocate of a complete human extinction, but since humans can't keep it in their pants, that's unlikely to happen, and human population is going to continue to increase, putting more and more strain to an already overpopulated planet until it reaches critical mass and collapses unto itself.

Kids today have too many rights and too little responsibilities. My neighbor's kids are a fine example. I once overheard their father saying how he'd beat his son to discipline him, but isn't allowed to because of the law that, at least on paper, prohibits corporal punishment, effectively tying the parents' hands and giving pretty much free reign to their children who, being fully aware they can do whatever they want without any consequences, behave exactly as you'd expect from a default human - like animals.

This is very true in the teaching world also. Children are out of control.

Not sure if physically punishing them would be a good idea in the long run. I can't speak for anyone else, but my parents never spared the rod, despite the fact I wasn't spoiled, misbehaving or engaged in kind of socially unacceptable behavior, which I resent them to this day. It's the primary reason they will never have grandchildren. It's my revenge to them for physically punishing me for everything, no matter how small and insignificant.

Makes me wonder if other victims of parental abuse feel the same. Legally, as their children, we are required to care and provide for them in their old age, but the law doesn't say anything about granting wishes, especially those that involve creating another human being and bringing him / her to this cruel and sadistic world of pain and suffering.

Physical punishment should be used for high errant behaviour. It is the last resort method.

What do you propose? How to deal with an out of control human hellspawns?

-Encourage people to have fewer children.
-Give contraceptives for free.
-Make education and healthcare free and of high quality.
-Give sex education to everyone.
-Ensure all people can live happy and peaceful life.
-Change the mindset of society towards fewer children and child-free families.

Ha! Good luck with that. I've been preaching the very same philosophy for years now, and all I got in return were stinkeyes. Of course, those same stinkeye givers are now freaking out over how are they going to make it through the winter with everything becoming more and more expensive and their children's ever growing needs.

That's not what I meant, though. Given free hands, how would you deal with an out of control children you mentioned?
