Quality or Quantity?

What if that forum had the best content and community atmosphere? You'd skip over it just because of their software choice?

If the forum had the best content and a beter atmosphere, we'd all be doing this:

The only thing that really matters is the quality of the people on the board. Everything else springs forth from it. Crappy people make for a crappy forum regardless of everything else. If anything, it's good people that make the quality topics and the atmosphere that is inviting to most people. As long as the people are good then I'll likely be there as I don't really care about anything else. It's not like I am going to pass up on a good thing just because the forum uses a specific software as that sounds fairly trivial to me.

Balanced formula, and I don't mind quantity as long as they're interesting to look at.

A happy-medium, of course, leaning more toward quality.

Quality or Quantity? both ! as a member i don't want to join IPB 1.3 powered forums. i think that most of ppl want to join your forum if u have very strong number of members and posts.
I'm confused, what does the software have to do with the quality or quantity of posts?
