i see a lot of modified american flags that takes the red and white strips and turns them into rainbow colors...

is this acceptable?

The law describes an American Flag as white stars on a blue field, plus 13 red and white stripes. There are so many people who died for that flag throughout our history that It's disrespectful to change the American Flag for any reason.

that's not justification for disrespecting the american flag like that...

weren't you name calling and demonizing other people that were stepping on and burning the american flag yet you disrespect it like it's no big deal just because you can? and try to justify it by saying that the same country that legalized marriage equality was too hard on homosexuals...

you want other flags banned yet you also want the freedom of disrespecting the national flag, yeah, makes perfect sense there buddy...

My Grandfather a Marine fought the Japanese in WW2 survived taking beaches with tens of thousands of them trying to kill him before reaching that beach. Then surviving those same people and the Jungle until the end of the war. As a Marine and always a Marine I am sure when he passed away on July 4th it would have been the day he preferred for a Marine. All I can say is I am glad he is not here to see the dump America has become. This crap from the dear leader and political judges over the last 7 years would have hurt him far more then what any terrorist did during 911 because these were from other so called Americans. Turning the White House into some political statement which says screw every person who believes in traditional marriage and the foundation of civilization for the last several thousand years. Obama care was a nation destroyer and made people mad, but this political ruling has made people mad on a whole new level and this just divided America even further into a deep rift. And this happens when you have Judges making up law instead of following it.

They wouldn't be doing that if they didn't have either tacit or implicit approval from base authorities to do so...plus, there's nothing in the Flag Code that specifically says that a rainbow American flag is illegal, so you're argument, Justice, is invalid.

Eh, I can see how overly patriotic American's could perceive it as disrespectful.

It doesn't really offend me though. The creation of that flag is just an oppressed portion of the population celebrating their new found equality.

It would be like if a future Ted Cruz put a don't tread on me flag across the roof if Obama care was gone. That is a REAL oppression of the people and I would be angry with him even then using the people's house as a political statement which this is.

I find it very ironic that the rainbow flag is used by both the gay movement as well as support for HIV awareness. Seeing as people back in the 80's and 90's associated the two together.
