Rate the Last Movie(s) You've Watched

Nightmare on Elm Street.
10/10

Riddle.
8/10

Killjoy goes to hell.

I would give it a 7/10... really weird but passed time.

A Resurrection.

9/10

"megafault" on Syfy.

Rate it? OK.

On the scale with 10 being a multiple academy award winner and an instant classic on the order of The Godfather and a 1 being a disgrace to the motion picture industry.

Give me a second to think about it.

Produced by the Asylum, 2009
"Directed by David Michael Latt. With Brittany Murphy, Eriq La Salle, Bruce Davison, Justin Hartley."

On our scale of 1 to 10.....

.... I would seriously give it a negative 23.

It may not be the worst movie I've ever seen, but it will do until I can remember one that was.

Most of the acting would have been better done by stray cats. OK, the late Miss Murphy was no Katherine Hepburn, but still.... well, at least she was cute, even if she did most of her dialogue while under sedation. The others, well, I hope they got paid in cash.

The special effects were laughable. The CGI was pathetic, as were the models they used. And, oh, yes, in one establishment shot they used a stock image of the Rocky Mountains for West Virginia. Opps.

Oh, no, it gets worse. The people in Wyoming will just stand around while their shoes melt because of some 'volcanic' thing until they burst into flames on the street. Really.

OK, this was a low budget disaster. I mean, a low budget disaster movie, but still. The premise was beyond ridiculous with the writers having evidently done their geologic research on rail drinks at a nightclub.

They also cannot read a map and moved Oklahoma to "just outside St. Louis", had one character claim a grain hopper truck was hauling 1,200 gallons of petroleum, among other glaring errors.

All in all, yes, it killed an hour waiting on a ball game to come back on after a rain delay. But maybe I would have been better off saving the electricity and being 'green' instead.

But think of all the laughs I would have missed.

As for the ending.... no idea, and don't care, the game started again before it got that far.

I watched The Wolverine in theaters, I don't necessarily know whether I'd call it a "great" superhero movie, but I think that it's a good one at the very least. A unique concept with Logan wanting to die because of his personal demons, and not being able to. At the same time though, there's a lot of shenanigans going on, and sometimes there's too many balls thrown up for you to count. A lot of characters thrown at you, and I think this will be seen from people as being a step-up from Origins, but not being a true sequel to X-Men 3. They made it out that they were "making it up" to the viewers with this standalone movie, but I never really thought that way. Personally, I liked Origins, I thought it was better than X-Men 1 & 3, and I'd say about the same for this movie, albeit with even more cheesy one-liners.

I would rate The Wolverine 8 out of 10. I really enjoyed it, only problem I had was with what goes down with the Bear near the beginning. I get he didn't have a choice, but still sucked for the furry big guy. I honestly could see Yukio and Wolverine developing something of a sisterly/brotherly like bond. Heck if you don't manage to bond when fighting for your lives together, then something's just not right! There was a moment with Yukio in my head where I kept going 'Please don't die, please don't die, please don't die!' The dreams Logan had of Jean, I kinda wonder if that was her way of trying to reach him from the Beyond. Or if it really was just dreams.

I would definitely add this movie to my collection.

I think that is what it was going for, like with the scenes where she was asking him 'to join her," and whatnot.

I watched Dark Man, it from director Sam Raimi, who can be credited for the original Spider-Man trilogy, Evil Dead, and Oz. While watching the movie, I couldn't help but have flashbacks to my experiences with the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies, in the movies cinematography, pacing, and outlandishness. The movie had a very "kiddy" feel that wasn't complimented very well by the cussing and murder to be found in the movie. The movie was entertaining but seemed a little too distant for you to connect with Liam Neeson's character on an emotional level. I'd say that it's a movie that is neither great nor terrible. 6.3/10.0

I went to the movies and watches The Mortal Instruments, an adaptation of the book of the same name, and I had absolutely no idea what to expect going in. I hadn't heard anything about this movie, I hadn't seen the trailers, and I hadn't even read the book. I went because it was offered, and I enjoy watching movies, so there's that. The movie has ravishing scenery, but that's about all that it has. The acting is terrible, and honestly, it comes off as a rip-off of Twilight of all things. It dragged for too long, and it came off as a mess. After the movie, my older brother told me all of the differences between the book and the movie. There were a lot of them, and he said a lot of what made him enjoy the book was taken out of him. He gave it a 50%, but I'm giving it a 3.0/10.0.

We had fun watching it, but it was a bad movie.

Yeah, I am double posting and I don't feel bad. I have went to the movies twice since this.

I watched Prisoners in theaters, and I have to say that it was really good. I remember coming out of the theaters after seeing the second Insidious movie and being the oddball of my friends, I ranted and raved about the movie, however, with Prisoners, neither of them praised it more. I loved seeing Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman's exchanges, and the concept was actually done very well.
