Read the rules?

Generally no, but only because I figure most forums will use the same common sense rules that most run by which is to not be an ass and such. I'll usually only check the rules to see what a sites stance is on signature content/size, or if there's any rules about not replying to threads that have been inactive for a certain period of time.

Nah! but having been a forummer for twenty-plus years I know not to flame, blame or prophane.

might be guilty of being a little bit lame tho' ........

To be honest. No, I don't. Most rules are based on common decency. So if you've read one set of rules, you've read them all. Most forum staff do not have an issue unless you go posting obscene controversial messages and starting a ruckus with the other members and causing trouble.

It's a gas !

Depends on how long they are. Generally, I scan over them, but if they're not that long I generally read over them. Most forum rules can be compressed into: "Use common sense."

Same here, honestly. I generally never read the rules as I figure most are common sense. Again, common sense isn't so common...soo. lol

The forum rules can best be summed up with a single rule which is don't piss off the staff. You piss off the staff and you will be warned and ultimately punished for it eventuall if you don't stop whatever it is that you are doing. Pointing out what you did that pissses them off is not in the rules will not save you as they won't care as how long you last on a board is tied to their happiness. This isn't a one size fits all description for every board but you will find a lot of boards do fit this description. I usually give the rules a quick look through for anything not normally a rule but most forums tend to copy each other in what rules they have as most rules are standard fare on your typical forum.

A member can piss me off and I won't take any action against their account.
