Wow...Joe Rogan said this?!?
And Spotify kept his podcast?!?

:fright: :fright: :fright: :fright: :fright:

Here's what Rogan said per MSN,
Podcaster Joe Rogan blasted Bud Light and Target, saying many Americans have decided they have had “enough.”

With massive companies facing public backlash for engaging in woke messaging, Rogan’s guest, standup comedian Theo Von, proposed an app that could show customers of a business “where they put their political money.”

“A little of that is going on right now with all the woke s—,” Rogan responded. “Target lost billions of dollars because they tried to have this Pride selection.”

“Yeah, and obviously the Bud Light thing with Dylan Mulvaney, they’ve lost $20+ billion,” Rogan added. “Can you imagine, you’re just gonna send a f—— can to a confused person – that ‘Day 365 of womanhood’ – and you send that person a f—— can with their face on it and your company loses $20 billion?” Rogan said. “That is wild s—, man.”

“So we’re seeing that now where we never saw that before, where people are going ‘Enough! Enough! Stop shoving this down everybody’s throat,’” Rogan observed.

He went on to suggest that much of the far-left messaging today from major corporations like Target has gone beyond the pale for society. “Target lost billions of dollars because they tried to have this Pride selection,” Rogan said. “When I go to Target I don’t want to see like f—— tuck pants, like they’re designed to help you tuck your d—,” Rogan said. “Hey, that’s not normal, I don’t want that right in front of everybody. It’s weird.”

He added that the vanguard of the transgender movement is pushing ideology in a way that resembles religious conquest. “There’s a lot of f—— real weirdness with this group of people that is trying to change the way people view sexuality and gender,” he said. “They’re proselytizing.”

Von reiterated his app idea to track what political causes a company donates to before doing business with them, to help people ensure they “put their money where their beliefs are.”

On Friday, Target’s stock fell 3.26%, with the stock losing over $15 million in market value since mid-May.

As of Tuesday evening, the stock price of Anheuser-Busch InBev has dropped about 15% compared to where it was a month ago, while sales for the week ending May 27 decreased 23.9% compared to a year ago.

*deadpans* I wonder what the over/under is on Rogan surviving this....

Joe Rogan is a dimwit and too many people take what he says as factual or even interesting. There wouldn't have to be pride festivals/parades/months if people just accepted that other people live different lives than they do. If it was just as accepted as heterosexuality, then I bet you the need for a celebration would go away. That won't happen, though. Humans are too judgemental and always feel the need to impose their beliefs/way of life on others.

I think he said it, Dee, for the same general reason JK Rowling and the late Michael Crichton could do what they did themselves - when you're successful enough, you get protection from editors. Crichton got it 'cause of Jurassic Park, Rowling 'cause of the Potterverse and Rogan 'cause of his years as the announcing face of the UFC.

For reference...

The Executive Meddling we're most familiar with is the sort that ruins stories, characters, and entire franchises. So why, some may ask, does the job even exist? Put simply, because quite often they're actually right, it's just the negative effects of Executive Meddling that are always publicized. No creator is perfect, after all; sometimes they really do make unmarketable stories and other mistakes on their own. Even the best need guidance.

When the creator is first starting out, the editors have the advantage in the artist-executive relationship. The creator's priority is just getting their stuff out there where people can see it, and in order to make that happen most people will acquiesce on the smaller details. The creator has no real leverage — if he objects too strenuously to executives meddling with his "vision", the executives have the option of shrugging their shoulders and moving on to one of the hundreds of other desperate artists looking for a break.

However, if the creator manages to pull off a hit, the dynamic changes. He eventually becomes marketable on star power alone. Whatever he produces is guaranteed to sell, regardless of quality, thanks to his established fanbase. Not all creators actually appreciate the help they've received from the editors. As far as they're concerned, these short-sighted editors have been holding them back from true greatness. They might not actively think this, but getting a fanbase and thus lots of positive feedback gives some people a swelled head.

Due to editors not being willing or able to fight back against a brand-name star, the resulting new material from an old creator can end up being lower-quality. Sometimes very much lower, as the author's bad habits, Mary Sues, and Author Appeals come to the fore (sometimes to the horrified shock of the creator's fanbase), where before, such excesses would be quickly and ruthlessly excised. The creators get away with it because it'll sell anyway, and we don't want to risk pissing him off and having him bolt for another company.

I think plenty of people are saying enough to Joe Rogan too.

Is that before or after Spotify chokes up those 200m beanies' to Rogan for his podcast?

I am a member of the LGBT community and even I think there is too much gay stuff being shoved down everyones throats lately.

In case in I haven't mentioned it before, Joe Rogan is a fucking idiot.
And Spotify are even bigger idiots for paying him what they did for his podcast.
