How much is your local sales tax?

Is everything taxed in your area (food for example)?

What goods or services do you think should be taxed more heavily, and which should not be taxed at all?

What do you think of sales tax in general?

Where I live, I'm not even sure what the sale tax percentage is. I shop in another state LOL I really hate it that the US has different laws in different states, but then that just means I'm more drawn to the states where I feel most comfortable with how things are done. So maybe that's a good thing?

I don't think foods should be taxed at all.

Here in Florida, the sales tax is 6%, but depending on city, county, and local tax jurisdictions, the total rate can be as high as 8%.
