Should undercover filming of meat and dairy industries be legal?

First off this may be better in debate forum? I wasn't sure.

I myself feel that undercover work using cameras to document cruelty to animals should be legal. The appealing abuse animals endure before being slaughtered is unacceptable. Injured, mame and sick animals are going into the food chain. I myself like meat, however I strongly feel that animals deserve to be treated better, their lives are taken to sustain us. Personally I think they are due more respect. A life is a life.

As far as the industry goes, they need to be under stricter guidelines. Any documented abuse to animals should be just reason for stiff penalties and/or it being shut down.

Your thoughts?
