Skinny latte bites the Big Mac as Costa Coffee overtakes McDonald's in fast food supremacy

The skinny latte has overtaken the Big Mac in the battle of the High Street, as cash-strapped Britons refuse to go without their morning caffeine hit.



Costa Coffee said it had shot past McDonald’s as the nation’s third-largest food and drink chain by number of branches, consigning the golden arches to fourth place.

Which one of the top food & drink chains above do you prefer and why?

I love a good Subway! Why? Because I prefer to eat a freshly made sandwiches over fatty, greasy fast food and I find Costa a little expensive for my taste.. Greggs, however, is my preferred bakery of choice.

On that list, we only have Subway and McDonald's where I am. I rarely eat fast food but if given a choice, I would pick Subway for the same reason mentioned by Boogie. While Subway is more expensive, I'd rather pay more for a healthier meal.
