Sonic's fan-favorite tater tots have officially been confirmed to be available at over 4,000 Walmart locations in the freezer aisle.

Every fast food chain has a staple menu item that they're popular for. Think fries at McDonald's, there's nothing like it. A Mexican Pizza at Taco Bell. Popeyes (could be argued for) the best Chicken Sandwich. But where do you go for the best tater tots? According to the internet, it's Sonic.


Fans online are pretty passionate about the tots at the drive-in chain, calling it a "nostalgic treat." It's such a classic that the news of the tots hitting Walmart freezers has fans even more ecstatic noting, "YES! 1,000x yessss," in a viral Instagram post revealing the tots' newest launch.


Now you don't have to live near a Sonic Drive-Thru to get your hands on these tots. Appearing on shelves at more than 4,000 Walmart SuperCenter locations in the US, you can now claim an entire 28-oz bag of Sonic Tater Tots at just $4.98.


Genius move, Walmart, now do Sonic's corn dogs next.

I like tater tots, I have tried the ones from Sonic and they are fine. Nothing special.

Only reason I go there is for the rare times when I want a soda, just load up the app and order through that, it's half price. That's it.

Sonic to me is like a DQ but with better food options.. their food is ok.. I love their drinks, tots and ice cream, I but I wouldn't touch their hot dogs with a 10 foot pole..

Also I want to try Tetris tots.. the nerd in me requires it for sustenance..
