In the past, ocean explorers sailed to unknown places.

How is space exploration similar?

How is it different?
 
It's pretty similar, just greater distances and using technology that's constantly evolving and improving. Will we eventually reach Star Trek levels of tech? Maybe. that'll be fun to see as time moves forward!
 
Indeed they are very similar. They still haven't explored all the depths of the ocean. We have aliens right here on earth! At least some of those deep sea creatures look pretty crazy. I tell you whut.
