I would absolutely save it. We grew up 'poor' and had a lot of hand-me-downs and whatnot. We were able to get by and do a few fun things here and there, but it was mostly because of friends and family. I learned from an early age that it's not good to frivolously spend your money if you don't have much of it. Even if I were suddenly to become rich, I'd have a hard time. I'd need a financial advisor to help me not because I would go wild, but because I'm not sure what I'd do with it aside from saving hahah.
Most likely save it for a rainy day.
Save half, spend the rest.
That'd be my choice.
Convert it to the currency we use here (pounds) and save it.
Since living with my wife, I have largely assumed the role of financing for our family, and I try to be both frugal yet not to our own detriment. Be responsible, but enjoy life, ya know? With $1,000, I would likely spend a decent portion (maybe half) and save the rest to continue building our nest-egg.
Save and spend later ...in a month a year .... i alway think well before i spend and where.
Yeah....on second thought, I wouldn't be able to save much of that lol. Things cost a lot these days and more than they should.
Spend it by paying off part of my loan.
