Spook and Shade: They lose.

Well, if anyone is a member of my forum, you would of noticed that I got seriously hacked today. But, that will not stop me from continuing on with my forums and making something of them.

The hacking was serious, they had posted private Skype conversations on the hacking , but also serious profanity...But worse of all they posted my personal home address and bank information.

These people are cowards. I have now decided to stop MyBB and switch to IPB. Just yesterday MyBB's databases were all compromised through a ISQL hack and members of the community were told to 1. Upgrade to 1.8.2 and 2. Take security measures.

If you ask me, MyBB is more of a problem then a benefit for me. I now have also switched hosts because my hosting was compromised as well.

Spook and Shade sent me a threatening email, saying that my life and computer was compromised. They demanded ransom and they said , I would never be able to keep a site running.

Luckily , the cyber world's been nice to me and I've made some powerful and nice friends along the way that have helped me salvage the damage.

With this said "Spook and Shade" will never win and will never destroy one of my biggest joys.

I guess to finish this off, I had a bad experience , I don't know if it was my careless mistakes but now I have taken extra precaution.

My forum currently has a nice motivating maintenance video while we get the site back up, but when we do get the site back up.

We will stand stronger than ever!

Well , they lose. IMO , I will re-build and re-build. All day, everyday. I don't care. But when they start hacking my personal information, which they did and don't worry I did an OS hard install and scan up and down. That's when it gets serious.

They put my banking information and address and personal conversations on my index page. Am I scared? No. Do I think they'll return. Sure.

But I won't keep my guard down this time and I will take every step to get up from this attack and show them, that some cowards behind a screen , cannot effect me.

Nothing is 100% secure on the internet. I hope you have better luck on IPB. Try to take as many security related precautions as possible.

Well i'm hoping by this afternoon to have it fully back up with a database from a couple hours before the attack happened.
