Staff Introductions?

Do you guys have staff introductions on forums? For example, do you have topics for staff (perhaps in the Intro forum) where you just tell a little about yourself, and then members can get to know you more. A Meet The Staff kind of topic is what I'm thinking of. Not that link that's on the bottom of most forums, where it just says who's all on the team, but I mean an actual topic, where you tell a bit about yourself, what your position is, that kind of thing?

Never even thought of this. Just have the regular old intro thread in the general topic board and say a little and then that's that. And let the others intro themselves and such.

I took the usergroups page and turned it into the Staff page, which I then linked to on the navigation bar near the top of the forum. In the Staff page, I added the following message:

Listed below are all the members of forum staff. If you want more information about a staff member, click his or her user name, or read the Staff List topic.

The Staff List topic includes a post by each staff member with everything you need to know about him.

That's a really clever idea.

Sometimes those can be interesting. I have been on forums where it's just the staff team, and then they tell a bit about themselves, like what they do on the forum, that kind of thing, and then if there's anything you want to know about someone on the team, feel free to interview them, really.

All the staff seems to have interview threads up for people to learn and ask what they want to learn about any member of the staff. To have duplicates of those topics would be superfluous.

Yeah, I know different forums do things differently when it comes to introducing their staff members.



I guess the reason I brought this topic up, is because I'm helping to create an advertisement forum as a moderator, and all of us on staff have an Interview thread going in the Member Interviews section on the site, and I was thinking it'd be kind of cool to have one thing for staff, and then another thing for members. It's kind of hard to explain and I thought up the idea last night.
