If you were in a situation of where you were going to die by starvation or you could continue living by eating another person (or people), what would you do?

is the situation where the person to be eaten is still alive?.....think the hardest thing would be picking the one to end up on the bbq

Die by starvation as there is no way I could eat people.

Ditto. But once dead I would understand if the others would want to eat me to survive.

As long as I'm not the hunter, the butcher, or the chef, I'd probably be fine with eating people.

when I'm starving,I feel powerless.but I never thought of eating ppl, that's too horrible!

I'm a human,not a beast!

Whenever I am confronted with this question, I always go back to this story:

"Miracle of the Andes"
'No Regrets Resorting To Cannibalism': Survivors Of 1972 Andes Plane Crash

Fifty years later, survivors of the Andes Plane Crash recall their horrific ordeal as they ate the flesh of their family and friends to stay alive.

Survivors of a plane crash that took place 50 years ago said they "have no regrets" resorting to cannibalism to prevent death long enough to be rescued, according to a report in Independent. The incident took place on October 13, 1972, when a chartered plane of the Uruguayan Air Force (Flight 571) carrying a rugby team along with their friends and family from Uruguay to Chile crashed in the middle of the Andes mountains due to bad weather, the outlet further said. While 29 passengers were killed in the crash, 13 others died after an avalanche hit in less than three weeks after the crash.

The 16 people who survived faced a long and tiring 72-day wait before they were finally rescued on December 23.

The fateful survivors met on October 13, 2022, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the crash, called "Miracle in the Andes" and recalled what all they had to undergo to stay alive.

I would definitely rather starve, I couldn't do it. I don't even think having a mental break in those conditions would change my mind, because I struggle eating meat from animals sometimes.

I mean, people could be delicious. I'm not saying that I believe cannibalism should be legal or accepted, but if someone had an ethically farmed human steak and there was an opportunity to at least taste it, I am not sure that I wouldn't give it a try.
