Same, even when I joined the PTL on FP I never took a dime from it. Forums aren't about money for me.

I wrote for a pro wrestling news site and the owner would give out Amazon gift cards for contributing a lot. He's done it 2 times or so for me.

I once stepped down from the staff position because the owner said he no longer can pay me. I cannot imagine working for free, I need incentives, even a small ones.

Its called volunteering and lots of people do it

If you enjoy the community then why not? I've never been paid to be a moderator or admin on a forum.

Well, I was offered the job as a paid position. Therefore, I had to step down when the paid position was terminated. Well, I also post on a lot of forums without any incentives but I do that because I like being there.
