If Stephen Colbert ran for President of the United States, would you vote for him?

Why or why not?

Yes. Colbert is highly intelligent and quite obviously and most importantly, a good and caring human being. The joke candidate is what we've been getting for decades now. We would be much better off if we voted for people who are simply good people with strong backbones, rather than the slippery silver tongued liars that say anything to get elected, and then proceed to be a puppet to the powers that be.

This, essentially.

I have been a big fan of Stephen Colbert for the last couple of years, and he is definitely intelligent enough to make a reasonably skilled president. He has already proven himself as being able to garner support from the people, and it'd be one of those rare times where the president actually seems human, genuine, and less 'robotic'. Although, of course, this is all hypothetical, if we're talking about Comedy Central talk-show hosts, I think that Jon Stewart would be even more fitting for the job. Colbert has logic and intelligence, but his area has always been mocking, which is what makes Colbert more of a comedy show than The Daily Show, whereas Jon Stewart has shown immense knowledge in-terms of politics, often battling various political figures on his show.

very well said and very true...

although they might have a good chance but put them together, i do believe they'd win the white house of favorable votes...

Yes, Stephen Colbert is highly intelligent and a good & caring human being....unfortunately, given the current political environment we live in, that automatically disqualifies him from being President.
