I saw thread about swearing on forums, but what about TV?

Do you think they should lighten up on the censors? What words should be allowed and what shouldn't?

Do you think after a certain time (maybe 10pm?) all words should be fair game?

On basic cable, after 9 or 10pm all bets are off. Comedy Central often airs unedited stand up comedians at night. Using the F word and so on. I think people shouldn't let their kids watch TV unsupervised if they're worried about swear words. There's far worse things going on than just profanity. Like hyping up cigarettes, drugs, alcohol and sex ...right in the middle of the day too.

I think they should lighten up the swearing words on TVs, because next thing you know someone's kids are mimicking what the person said on TV. But also like Nebulous said; the parents/guardian needs to also be responsible if what they are listening to, and watching on TV.

I don't see the point so much. If the show is aimed at kids, it won't contain too many swears anyway. If it isn't, it's up to the parents to let their kids watch it :dontknow: Oh and if shows choose to censor themselves, that's obviously up to them.

Thats up to our friends at FCC
not us
Since the FCC is a government agency and the people control the government (in theory), that's very much up to you!
