We don't censor anything here and I rarely see people using profanity to attack each other.I censor some of the more serious swear words because they're more than likely only going to be used for insults and hostility.
Do you think swearing should be allowed on forums?
While that may be true, I think some people are still offended by such words and would possibly even leave a forum that actively allowed serious swearing. We don't censor anything here and I rarely see people using profanity to attack each other.
George Carlin was the greatest! I would have loved to see him do stand-up live.I don't need, and really don't want, to use such language, nor do I wish to read it.
And perhaps this will make the point that saying some of them has been done before, by others, and has lost its effectiveness except for getting an otherwise worthless movie an NC-17 rating.
"Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, and Tits. Those are the heavy seven. Those are the ones that'll infect your soul, curve your spine and keep the country from winning the war."
- George Carlin (1937 - 2008), "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television", album: Class Clown, Atlantic Records, 1972
To each their own I suppose. I guess its no big deal to me because almost everyone I've ever known for my entire life uses profanity pretty much every other word while talking. While that may be true, I think some people are still offended by such words and would possibly even leave a forum that actively allowed serious swearing.
Yeah, it's all an individual preference. Being a retail stocker in my lifetime, I've been around lots of people that say cuss words in like every sentence. To each their own I suppose. I worked in retail too, same experience. Except I seen a few guys get written up for saying bad words in front of the customers (and the customers complained).Yeah, it's all an individual preference. Right there is living proof that some people are offended by it.Except I seen a few guys get written up for saying bad words in front of the customers (and the customers complained).
