I think that the new 3D technology that nintendo has put into their handheld is absolutely great! Could it improve? Of course but it's a start!

What do you think about the idea of the 3DS?

I've seen reviews on other forums and for the moment I see more cons than pros. It looks nice, I'll give Nintendo credit for that, but a weak battery when the 3D effects are turned on? I don't like the sound of that at all. I just got a DS Lite about a year ago, and I think I'll be holding on to that a little bit longer thank you very much.

I don't like it. The 3D effect on the handheld can really hurt your eyes but you can always turn it off. To me, 3D itself is a stupid gimmick nowadays.

I bought a 3DS XL off amazon yesterday, It should arrive in a week's time. My mate has one and I have a DS Lite but the top screen is cracked, due to the bleeding I struggle to see what is going on. I was going to get the normal 3DS till I saw the size difference between that and the XL. I paid £107 quid which I think is pretty good. I can't wait to start playing :D

Only reason for me to have a 3DS is due to the newer Pokemon Games. Its nice though that the internet is wireless. Even if I am having issues connecting to my wireless internet. I don't really even bother with the 3D effects though.

For me it's the larger screens, with my tremor bad now I do struggle witht he small DS lite screen. Don't know if I will use the 3d much as it can make me feel ill. But Pokemon and Dragonquest!!! :D

3D video capture, an eShop to buy and download games on their release dates without going to the store, and the large game library was enough for me to buy a 3DS. My old DSs broke too and I needed another handheld if I was ever feeling to play one of my old DS games, so the DS backward compatibility did its part there.

The battery is a problem, I have to admit. Turning off 3D and wireless helps. As for more cons than pros, that's where you're wrong. Try one for a couple of days and you'll discover it.

You have to align it with your eye just right, but too much of it can hurt your eye depending on the game. Tekken 3D Prime Edition is a good example.

You do realize that my opinion is three years old, right? I just got the 3DS XL back in February of this year and I actually like it. I don't care for the three-d effects because they seem more blurry than anything resembling 3D. I already have 2 games for it: Pokemon X version and Brain Age: Concentration training.

In February of 2013, I bought a blue 3DS XL from Wal-Mart. Pre-installed in the system is Mario Kart 7.

I tend to buy Nintendo-published video games. The ones I have are Legend of Zelda, Mario Tennis, Yoshi's New Island, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon X, Super Mario 3D Land, and New Super Mario Bros. 2.
