The WCW Cruiserweight title had one of the most brutal downfalls in wrestling history. Originally this was a hotly contested belt amongst the likes of Rey Mysterio Jr, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Ultimo Dragon & Juventuud amongst others. But by the year 1999 the division started to struggle with the WWF hoovering up the top cruiserweight talent. For some strange reason WCW decided to start booking women in this previously male dominated environment. Daffney & Madusa would both end up holding the belt. Then you have the whole rubbish with Oklahoma doing bad Jim Ross impersonations. The belt was also vacated twice and given away once.
So by the year 2000 the good times had ended and now everything surrounding this title was a joke.
