A huge question mark hangs over the death of Sandra Bland.
The Texan was pulled over in Waller County on Friday for allegedly improperly signaling during a lane change then assaulting a police officer.
A video of her arrest was filmed and uploaded online:
The 28-year-old was ‘found dead’ in her cell on Monday morning, Waller County Sheriff’s Office said.
In a statement the force describes how she was ‘not breathing from what appears to be self-inflicted asphyxiation’.
The report goes on to explain how the officer who found her started CPR but she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Her cause of death has been ruled as suicide by hanging.
However, her friends and family have refuted this entirely.
Friend LaNitra Dean, told ABC 7 Sandra had just landed her dream job and described her as ‘strong mentally and spiritually’.
The media spotlight on her death has sent America into a frenzy of speculation, with many saying her death simply doesn’t add up, and some alluding to a cover-up.
Sandra was outspoken about police brutality and racial injustice and frequently uploaded videos to encourage people to have their say on such issues.
Her loved ones continue to campaign for the truth.

This makes no sense to me. If the autopsy has been ruled a suicide by hanging, why wasn't she found hanging by the officer who found her? Also why would she commit suicide over a traffic violation especially after she just landed her dream job?
