Queen of the Ring "stars" - they were barely in the film - go on the AEW Revolution PPV and are pleased that they finally figured out wrestling is fake. She actuallyed said this to the live audience during the AEW Revolution PPV was going on, right after the Will Ospreay vs Kyle Fletcher cage match!
And James Romero (of the Story Tme w/Dutch Mantel podcast) wasn't the only one to think that either....
AEW somehow let two bit part actresses from the Queen of the Ring movie go out in front of a live wrestling crowd at the AEW Revolution PPV event and misspeak so badly that they basically said "you do know that the wrestlers know who is going to win before the fans do". Tony Schiavone grins, Kamille goes onto the internet and complains and wrestling fans are baffled about wrestling being called fake DURING the show. How could Tony Khan and AEW let this segment happen? Would a production meeting have helped? It was right after the Will Ospreay vs Kyle Fletcher cage match, as well!
What has people steamed at that actress, the one who spoke in both videos, Doc, isn't that; everyone to some degree knows wrestling is a pre-determined, scripted event. Its' that, so long as the average fan's suspension of disbelief isn't shattered or broken they're willing to put up with lots of the stuff that happens in wrestling.
Instead, she basically 💩's on the fans there and anyone watching. And you wonder why people in the industry back in the 60's and 70's and 80's were so serious about preserving the suspension of disbelief. I mean, someone should go to one of her films and do what she did (Damaris Lewis is the actress's name, IIRC).
