The US Army and Lockheed Martin has tested a new fleet of trucks which can drive themselves. The driverless vehicles are part of the Army and Marine Corps' Autonomous Mobility Appliqué System (AMAS) program.

The trucks can navigate around obstacles in the road, interact with live traffic and avoid pedestrians all without human interaction. Tests were carried out on the roads and dirt tracks around Fort Hood, Texas.

Thoughts?

Can I hack one of those vehicles and take it for a remote operated joyride? :P

Also, the US Army should pray no one really hacks their new toys and goes GTA / Carmaggedon on the pedestrians, just for teh lulz.
