Titanic tourist submersible goes missing with search under way

This is true.. there is a lot that we dont know, but having a bunch of rich people who know nothing, at all and being treated with the same respect as those who dedicated their lives and careers to it, getting involved in stuff like this just makes things worse. It seems to just legitimize their absurdity.

What this CEO did was reckless and now 5 lives are lost.. and it seems to follow a pattern.

RIP, even though it was not good idea for them to do that in the first place, its sad that they died down there.

I think the titanic is an interesting piece of history but I am satisfied with just looking at video footage of it, I don't need to go down there and look at in person.

It was the Titanic itself that resulted in the maritime nations and corporations all agreeing to a set of standards for ship construction and operation that are STILL in operation World Wide.

Maybe THIS, because it involved the UK, France, and the US, will result in the same thing for this sort of vessel, and the undersea 'tourist trade'.

I'm reading now that literally dozens of experts warned the company that the submersible was potentially not safe years ago. As just one example, the porthole window is only rated for up to 1,300 meters of depth and the Titanic is at around 4,000 meters.

Even James Cameron knew it wasn't a good idea.
