-When I saw Luis Suarez bite that Italian player, my first thought was, 'well, there went Liverpool's Premier Leagues chances this season...'
-Diego Maradona's Hand-of-God goal still pisses off the English to this day...ironically, that wasn't the biggest goal that day back in 1986 btwn. England & Argentina....no, that honor also went to Maradona for his "Goal of the Century" when he out-dribbled at least four England players en-route to planting a shot into the England goal just a few minutes before his "infamous" other goal...

-Andres Escobar's murder still haunts Colombian football to this day; its' almost a given that the sport's precipitous decline in the late 90's directly stems from that incident (along with the fact that many of Colombia's top clubs were financed w/very heavy & very copious amounts of narco-money)...
