...karmic justice at its' finest:
(NBC ProSoccerTalk) An apparent trend for yelling a crude phrase while female reporters are broadcasting will cost at least one Toronto FC fan his job.

CityNews reporter Sarah Hunt had had enough of the idiotic gag when she heard fans conspiring to do it at BMO Field on Sunday. She accosted them in this video, which led to a secondary confrontation with a man in an Arsenal jersey.

That man is going to lose his six-figure job for this:

The Toronto Star]From The Toronto Star: Hydro One is firing an employee involved in Sunday’s incident, while Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment is taking steps to have the fans involved banned for “at least” a year.

A Hydro One spokesperson identified the employee as Shawn Simoes, an assistant network management engineer who made $106,510 last year. He appears on-camera laughing and taunting, alongside several other men.

MLSE is seeking out the offending fans for bans, but I have a bigger question.

I consider myself someone who pays attention to the broadcast media, and this phrase has really been a thing for a year? Of all the things to catch fire with idiot fans, yelling that phrase has done the trick. It’s not remotely clever or funny.

I’m no prude, and I like a good-natured jab every now and again, but I’ve got nothing for this sort of misogynistic garbage. That’s not exactly taking a stand, I know.

Shout out to the security guard letting these guys ride out free speech to its final destination.

....25, 30 years, that moron above would've gotten away with saying what he did above...nowadays, that stuff's going to follow him everywhere...thoughts?
