Translated Books

I've read tons of books that have been translated from another language. Some for school, and some for my own enjoyment. It's really cool sometimes because you get an inside view of another culture a lot of the time, although when they aren't translated well and checked for spelling and grammatical errors it tends to turn me off.

I have been meaning to get my hands on some Icelandic Saga books that are translated into English.

English isn't my native language, and most Dutch literature is just not that good, so I definitely have. I prefer reading the original English (and occasionally French/German) book over a translation though.

Yes. The book 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. It was actually three books in the series but I luckily got the entire thing as a single. Good book but I felt maybe because of the translation it was missing some of the plot.

All the time. XD Considering I'm a manga reading, among other books as well of course. Actually own a lot of manga in Japanese. Some I have translations for, some I don't.
