On your marks ... get set ... quack!
Or should that be squeak?
Both are appropriate when there are 6,500 yellow rubber ducks racing down a river.
More than 350,000 people attended the open-air festival Das Fest in Karlsruhe, Germany, on Sunday, where they watched rubber duckies race their little rubber hearts out for a good cause.
The annual Rubber Duck Race is held to benefit the Karlsruhe Association for the Help of Mentally Ill Children.
It costs 5 euros (about $6.50) to enter a duck into the race, and each rubber waterfowl is stamped with a unique ID.
The person who sponsored the winning duck receives a 2,000-euro ($2,600) shopping spree at the local mall.
Race organizers dump the duckies into the river from a bridge, and they float until they reach the finish line.
And if you're curious, duck No. 32,272 was this year's winner.
