Is it wrong to be a vegetarian?

Is it wrong to eat meat?

Who is right? Why?

If it's wrong to be vegetarian then this world is royally fucked.

Both or not wrong or right, no one is right, it's all up to the person at the end of the day, if they want to eat meat go ahead, if you don't, don't. Simple.

Myself, personally, think it's wrong to eat meat, hence why I'm a vegetarian, but, if people want to eat it, it's up to them.

Humans were made to be meat eaters. Its in our blood.

If that's what you think, go with it. People can function perfectly fine without killing innocent animals for food.

How would we survive if we were back in the cave man times?

With no advances in modern technology.

Eat or be eaten.

That's true, back then. Now days we have huge farms with Chickens, Cattle, Ducks etc, being fed steroids and hormones to make them grow as quickly as possible and then slaughtered. There's no need for it, we could easily have nice farms and let the animals have a good life, but the way the world is, they only care about the money, nothing else.

Some stores guarantee that the animals were free range (allowed to roam around a farm and not kept in a small cage) , were fed no steroids or drugs, and treated well.

Yup, but the majority don't, and according to loads of surveys and investigations etc, lots of those free-range animals are falsely labeled.

Also people who live on farms raise their own animals and treat them humanely before they end up on the dinner table.

If you look at other animals, they start eating their pray while its still alive. I'd say thats more brutal.

Maybe, but animals are made to eat other animals, it's what they are here for, but humans just came along and claim that it's their right to kill animals in huge amounts.

Besides, those animals get to live in the wild, have a good life, unlike most, where they are kept, shipped in a ship sometimes for hours on end stressed out, put into a slaughter house, have their necks cut and left to bleed out. Some life.

Obviously i don't. Humans are somewhat animals, but they don't live in the wild, and depend entirely on hunting to live, but they have the power to change things, live different lifestyles, unlike animals.

Humans have ruined the earth, you can see how much better it was before we came along, and animals controlled the earth, it's changed so much, and it's rather sad. Just shows what sort of people we really are.

Well we are here and we eat animals just like the animals do.

I doubt when an animal out in the wild is ferociously ripping apart another animal and devouring them while they are still alive, it cares if its feeling any pain or anything.

At least with humans, the slaughter is (most of the time) quick and over with in a few seconds. You dont see people wrapping a hot dog bun around a live piglet and taking a bite do you?

I'm just going to stop because this isn't going to lead anywhere as you agree with eating meat. End.

I disagree. Humans are not carnivores nor herbivores. Rather we are omnivores. We are able to eat both plants and animals - not just one.

We are meat eaters. We dont only eat meat though.

Im wearing shoes right now. <--- does that statement make you think that I'm only wearing shoes?
