MrJ said:Go Jazzy! I've been going on dates with this one girl since the beginning of summer and I plan on asking her out, as in boyfriend/girlfriend, on our next date! Ironically her dad is a state trooper! I plan on asking her out through an *inside conversation* I had with her and my friend. Basically, my friend made fun of me in front of her because I didn't have a girlfriend and he did, but I'm not going to go into much detail because it's irrelevant. Anyhow, I plan on taking her out to eat and then going to get ice cream, and sometime during our date I plan on referencing the conversation we had with my friend, who made fun of me for not having a girlfriend, and I'm basically going to ask her if she'll change that!
MrJ said:I changed my mind though, I'm just going to be straight forward with her and tell her that I really like her and that I want to know if she'll be my girlfriend.
DrLeftover said:Wait a minute.... you found a guy that has a JOB and lives in the same time zone as you?
damn.
Jazzy said:I admire you and straight forward (IMO) is definately the right way to do this! PLEASE let us know what happens!
Congrats!MrJ said:I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes immediately!![]()
Jazzy said:There's this State Trooper who I met several times while responding to accident calls. I knew right away after talking with him that I would love to go out with him. I kept waiting for him to ask me but a friend of his told me he was a shy guy. I saw him last night and simply walked over to him and asked him out. I figured I had nothing to lose. He could have either said yes or no. He gave me a big smile and said: I would love to go out with you. I was just afraid to ask you. We are going out this coming Saturday night. I'm so glad I had the nerve to ask him!![]()
Edit - Change of plans. I just talked with him on the phone. I asked him instead of going out, if he would like to come over to my house and we could BBQ. No sense spending money for food and gas to go somewhere when he only lives a few miles from me. Plus I want to be able to talk to him without all the distractions of being in a noisy crowded pub. He loved the idea and he's bringing the steaks!![]()
