We never went to the MOON?

Let's just say for a moment that the entire space program of the US, the then USSR and all the rest were hoaxes. That NOTHING from Earth landed on the Moon except a lot of wishes and high hopes. That yes, the government lied to us then, and is lying to you now about all sorts of things.

What difference would that fact make to your daily life?

It's possible that the moon landing were staged. If a few men have gone up to the moon before, then why hasn't any other countries ventured into space? Bots and Droids don't really count, because they aren't men.

If we know that it's possible to get humans onto the moon, then why aren't countries fighting over territory? The moon could become the mini-me of the Earth if people wanted to go there.

It would change the history books...

So?

Argument could be made that all of history before you were of coherent mind to recognize events outside of your own immediate surroundings is a fraud.

Prove to me the Renaissance happened. That there is an island by the name of Madagascar. That the Megamouth shark is real.

Even I am too young to remember Michelangelo, therefore, he never lived. I've never been to Madagascar, therefore, it is as fictional as the movie with the talking animals by the same name. I've been fishing a lot, been saltwater fishing as well... I've never caught one of these....

... so it is a faked picture and somebody's tequila-influenced nightmare.

Who cares? We're there now. When we first landed there (or didn't), we didn't have the technology to do much so it doesn't make a difference.

They are all in good company with their beliefs.

Mars is essentially in the same orbit.… Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe.

Are you being sarcastic leftover?

So, we've been to Mars already? :-/

Haha...

Abiel, why do all the top scientists disagree with you on the moon landing being possible?

It's going to take China a over a year to build a TV set just to fake a robot landing?

Wow.

Neil Armstrong's 1969 lunar landing marked a pinnacle of US technological achievement, defining what many saw as the American century, but the next person to set foot on the moon will likely be Chinese.

As the United States has scaled back its manned space programme to cut costs -- a move strongly criticised by Armstrong, who died on Saturday -- Asian nations have aggressively expanded into space exploration.

China, Japan and India all have their own space programmes.

Doesn't the question turn into Why haven't other countries faked a moon landing yet? then?

How do you know if NASA hasn't FAKED anything besides the Moon landing?

Well what's the biggest thing they've done since? Putting a rover on Mars doesn't exactly evoke the same awe I think.

+Mr. Jazzy said:
Why would they?
Stimulation. You know how after the moon landing lots of kids wanted to be astronauts and how after Jurassic Park was released a lot of kids wanted to be palaeontologists? It's a pretty good way to get more scientists for an actual trip to the moon.

+Mr. Jazzy said:
It'd be easy to expose them...
Not really. Who actually visits the moon on a regular basis?

i'm not sure if you folks seriously think the moon landing was faked or not here. from a strictly practical point of view there are simply too many people who have to be keeping the secret for it to have been faked.

also, there's a mirror that was left behind that any geek with a laser can hit and get a reflection from.

+Mr. Jazzy said:
More like things are different, over-all, the world is smarter, back in that time it was easier to fool the masses, no?
I doubt it. People are plenty easy to fool these days.

+Mr. Jazzy said:
Plus, if you're going to lie about something, you have to keep the lie alive by covering the tracks, no?
And you expect research centres and universities around the world to cooperate?

+Mr. Jazzy said:
Any ways, a mirror on the moon or not, still doesn't prove that the Moon landing was real, we can send things to the moon and other planets and have already...
That's a better argument

just saying that it didn't happen isn't proof that it didn't.

in any conspiracy study, one of the most important questions to ask is 'qui bono?' who benefits? why was so much money spent to fake a moon landing? how have they managed to keep thousands of employees quiet about it so long?

how could all those people involved with the ground crew, mission control and all the tracking stations not know that the moon mission was faked?

then you have the problem of all the artifacts they left at tranquility base.
