A book on the Blitz, entitled . . . Blitz!

I've already learnt things about the Blitz that I didn't know, for instance Blitzkrieg means 'Lightning war'. The Germans used Blitzkrieg to take over both Poland and France inside 48 hours each. It describes the all-mechanised force concentration of tanks, infantry, artillery and air power, concentrating overwhelming force at high speed to break through enemy lines, and, once the latter is broken, proceeding without regard to its flank. Through constant motion, the blitzkrieg attempts to keep its enemy off-balance, making it difficult to respond effectively at any given point before the front has already moved on.

Wait, they did teach this in school? I mean, of all places...? 0_o

Poland and France both lasted longer than 48 hours during the invasions, too. Poland actually performed fairly well considering the consequences. Blitzkrieg is broken down into small sub-concepts of strategy that are utilised that altogether make up the Blitzkrieg package.

It was Nazi Germany's greatest military asset in strategy, and also it's biggest liability (The modified Hammer and Anvil technique proved to fail against U.S. tactics, most notably seen when Patton countered Rommel).

Brilliant book, Only small though (About 200 pages), But alot of info in it. Norse Paganism is quite hard to, But they way Pete writes makes it easier to understand. I find I take more infomation is when reading his books than I do others.

With the Light: Raising an Autistic Child volume 3. I absolutely love this manga series; it's so deep & so emotional. <3 I love it.
