I was brought up to always say please and thank you. I'm noticing these words are hardly ever used now. Do you think it's because people are so stressed out and always in such a hurry that politeness has lost its place in our lives? Do you blame it on bad parenting? Do you say these words?

Nah, some people are impolite by nature. There's always time to say please and thank you.

It can be. If the parent doesn't give the example, how are the kids gonna learn it?

Do you say these words?

I use them most of the time. Sometimes I forget.

Nah, not hurry... parenting, maybe.

I don't toss the words around (though I've been told this might just be the language...), but I do use 'em from time to time.

I use them usually. Sometimes it'll slip my mind or something, but for the most part I do use them (and my parents didn't even teach me to do that o.o).

IDK most people I meet are pretty decent... Except people working for the city/government, but their job sucks so...

I always say thank you, everyday when I get coffee, I say thank you to the cashier and they say, Have a nice day, and I say, You too.... I'm well-trained. I wasn't ever taught to but it was something that I kinda learned and felt was right to do, just out of friendliness.
