How old were you when you learned how to read?

I learned in kindergarten around when everyone else did, but I quickly got ahead of everyone and was given more advanced reading assignments starting in 1st grade.

I learned to read when I was 8 years old. I had a lot of trouble. She bought me a "Hooked on Phonics" learning sat down with me down for several hours. She also hired a tutor that would have me re-read several books every day after school.

I learned it when I was six years old. My mom taught me at that time. By the way, I go straight to Grade 1 and have never been to preschool before.

Very long years ago I think I was in my creche but I have always been that smart to learn very fast

I learned to read and write certain Chinese characters when I was studying in kindergarten.
