When you're sick...

The last time I was THAT sick involved an Advanced Life Support EMS squad and a couple of nights in the cardiac intensive care ward.
That was almost twenty years ago.
It was also the day I quit working at the state prison.
Since then, I've been able to manage my own care on my own.

I HATE fuss. My boyfriend wanted to comfort me when I was ill a few weeks ago. I know people are just trying to be nice but 1. I don't want to pass on whatever I had and 2. I just want to be left alone till it passes.
Mum usually gets me Lucozade and soup because I tend to not eat anything when I am ill. :/

The latter; I'm enough of a curmudgeon when I'm healthy...when I'm not-so-healthy, worse.
